The simple print guide

A happy start to printing.

A few small settings make room for a lot of coloring. Here’s how to get your activity from the screen to the table.

  1. Choose the paper in your printer

Every pack comes in US Letter and A4. Select the size on the activity page before downloading. All individual sheets and the teacher guide follow your choice.

  2. Open the PDF

Use the download button to save the file. Open it in your browser’s PDF viewer or another PDF reader. For a single activity, choose its individual download below the pack.

  3. Check the print settings

Match the paper size, choose portrait orientation, and select “Actual size” or 100%. Check the print preview. If your printer crops an edge, use “Fit” to keep the whole page inside its printable area.

  4. Start with one page

Plain white printer paper and crayons or colored pencils are enough. Print one test page before a whole classroom set. Choose single-sided printing if you plan to use markers.

  5. Make it their own

Read the directions together. Let children choose colors, talk about the animals, and work at their own pace. The teacher guide includes prompts and answer notes.

Something looks wrong?

If the page appears too small, turn off “Multiple pages per sheet.” If nothing downloads, try saving the PDF link and opening the saved file in a PDF reader. To avoid unwanted headers, print the downloaded PDF rather than the activity webpage.

Print as many copies as you need for your family or classroom. Read the use permissions.
